A slightly rare and exotic breed of chicken known for its entirely black appearance, including feathers, beak, and internal organs. Originating from Java, Indonesia, the Ayam Cemani is considered to bring good luck and fortune to those who own them. We take immense pride in our meticulous breeding program aimed at achieving the striking, entirely black pigmentation of the Ayam. (Little fact, the eggs are cream in color) They are so spectacular and exotic that they are referred to as the “Lamborghini of poultry.”
A Note About Hatching Eggs 🐣
We take great pride in providing fertile eggs from our healthy, well-loved flock here at Family Heritage Acres. Each egg is carefully collected and packed with care, just as we would for our own incubator.
That said, shipped hatching eggs are a gamble! Shipping, temperature changes, handling along the way, and even incubation conditions at home can all affect hatch rates in ways we simply can’t control. On another note; Ayam Cemani are notoriously challenging to hatch!
Because of this, we’re unable to guarantee hatch rates on shipped eggs.
By purchasing hatching eggs, you’re understanding and accepting these risks, but with care and patience, you’ll be rewarded with something truly special.

If you receive broken hatching eggs, snap a photo right away and send it to us. We’re here to help and ensure you get the quality you expect.
Shipping or Pickup Information
If ordering for shipping, your order will be shipped in the order received. Typically order fulfillment time is 1-3 weeks.
We will ship hatching eggs on Mondays and Tuesdays only. We ship via FedEx 2 day shipping. Upon delivering your eggs to FedEx, we will provide tracking information to you via email.
Shipping is a flat $30 for 1-2 dozen hatching eggs. Shipping will be added at checkout.
If you select pickup, we will reach out with your pickup date. All pick ups will be at our Chick Shack located in Kelso, WA.
